Amor Loco: Your Go-To Spot for Authentic Mexican Cuisine in New York

Wow! The vibe at this place is great! We were surprised to find a spot like this so close to our hotel! The food was absolutely amazing, especially the frozen margs. They offer all-day happy hour on Mondays, which made the already great prices even better. The drinks were fantastic, and everything we ordered came out fresh and flavorful. Our waitress, Rose, was phenomenal - top notch service! Highly recommend Amor Loco for anyone looking for delicious Mexican food, fun vibes, and unbeatable happy hour deals!

My first time being here. I love love love! Food, drinks and service is amazing. The French toast was AMAZING! Never have I had French toast that I didn't have to use syrup. Tooo gooood! Our server Natalia is such a sweet heart and super attentive.

I had such a great dining experience here! The food was delicious and the environment was very comfortable, but the highlight of my visit was the service from Natalia. She was extremely friendly, patient, and attentive. She introduced the menu in detail and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place with excellent service, great atmosphere, and tasty food, I highly recommend this restaurant. A special thank-you to Natalia for making our visit even more memorable!

This place was super cute and cozy. We had a reservation for four, and at first they couldn’t find it, but after a short wait they were able to locate it. The host who walked us to our table had us moving pretty quickly through the restaurant — not sure why, but we were a little out of breath by the time we sat down. The ambiance was really nice, and both the food and drinks were very good. The cocktails were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of alcohol. We’ll definitely be back!

Ambiance (4/5): the restaurant has a trendy vibe to it with the decorations, lighting and music. The establishment is a bit narrow but at least they have two floors. both floors have fully stocked bars. We were upstairs in a little area near the windows (a little cold in winter). Noise level was not loud. Service (5/5): our waitress Rose was lovely and catered to our orders and needs quickly. Happy hour deals until 6p! Chips & Guac (3/5): We ordered the mild spice and it def did not taste the slightest spicy. Nothing to write home about Guac. Carne tacos (4/5): the meat was super tender, juicy, and tasted great!! The taco itself is TINY. Birirra tacos (5/5): they were more a normal size. It came with a small bowl of consumé. The meat was seasoned well. Churros (3/5): Not great. A little hard around the edges. Dips were nice but was hoping for a thicker chocolate.

What a great experience! We were in a bit of a rush to get our food and make it to our Broadway show, and to our surprise, the waitress did not disappoint. The dishes were tasty and generously portioned — definitely satisfying. The drinks, however, were not as impressive. My hibiscus margarita was very sweet, and I could barely taste the alcohol. The downstairs area was quite loud, but the upstairs seating — although very tight — was much more pleasant and comfortable.

Such a pretty place to eat! A lot of pink and floral decor, and the birria tacos were so yummy! With all the meat and cheese that it came with it was definitely worth the price ($23). The staff was also kind with fast service (went on a Sunday around dinner time).

Great happy hour spot. The tacos were flavorful and well-portioned — especially the crispy fish and steak. Fresh guacamole with perfectly salted chips, and the salsas added a nice kick. Fun vibe and solid value.
